What is Procedure Text?
1. Text that can explain how something works or how to use instruction/operation manuals e.g. how to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax.
2. Text that instruct how to do a particular activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules.
3. Text that deal with human behaviour e.g. how to live happily, how to success.
The purpose procedure text is to tell the reader how to do or make something. The information is presented in a logical sequence of events which is broken up into small sequenced steps. these text are usually written in the present tense. The most common example of a procedure text is a recipe.
What is Generic Structure of Procedure Text?
1.Title/Purpose : a descriptive name or a name of the product.
2. Material/ingredients needed : something that enters as an elements into a mixture.
3. Methods or Steps : a procedure or process for doing/make it something..

How to Make Bregedel Tempe
The Ingredients:
The Materials:
1. Fork
2. Bowl
3. Frying pan
4. Spatula
The Instructions:
1. Mash the tempe with a fork.
2. Put the mashed tempe in a bowl and mix with the flour and seasoning, followed by an egg.
3. Shape the tempe into the size of a golf ball and flatten a little with a fork.
4. Heat the cooking oil in a medium flame.
5. When the oil is hot, drop the tempe into the oil, five or six at a time.
6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with chili or sauce.
